In this attack, hacker can targeting the bank websites or bank portal, e-commerce sites, any type of online stores.
Hacker can make exact match of original website or portal create a portal, but a normal user can make a transaction on this portal a transaction cannot be done because this is not an original website.
Hackers can illegally get your account credential and they have misuse of your account.
I.e. you can pay your utility bill or transfer money from net banking on particular xyz bank portal or website. Hackers can make an exact match page of xyz bank portal and this page set on front of original page so normal user can enter username and password for get your account rights for work.
So this phishing page can redirect to original page of your xyz bank site and your credential can goes to the hackers. They have any type of misuse of your account.
Awareness
You can go to the authorized website.
Check URL site is https or not Cannot make payment directly from any direct link on any social media or anywhere you can get but don’t try it.
Missing security patches
Security software or application on mobile are not updated with latest patches then you have vulnerable.
So you can try to updates your security software or application.
You cannot ignore the security patches.
